Unley Park

Description

The Unley Park is more than a homage to the giants of architecture, from Frank Lloyd Wright to Robin Boyd. It’s more than an opus of apparently effortless mid-century chic: floating roofs, ribbon windows, voluminous light-filled spaces. It’s the ultimate modern take on a modernist masterpiece.

Beyond the entry-gate canopy welcoming visitors, through the Travertine portico and pivot door clad in western red cedar, unfolds a breathtaking residence suffused with natural light.

The home is oriented to embrace the corner block’s northern aspect, so its full-height glazing fills the 3.9-metre-high rooms with sunlight – an effect enhanced by the elegant colour palette and carefully curated materials and fittings. Natural stone. Whitewashed oak. Brushed brass. Feature lighting from the Montauk Lighting Co. All carefully balanced, beautifully executed and juxtaposed with dark accents and statement pieces, such as the stone backdrop to the ensuite bath.

It’s a visual symphony that creates an almost ethereal ambience. And yet, it’s also designed to satisfy all our clients’ functional needs through their golden years, from the independent bedroom for an in-house carer to the gallery garage to the wine cellar, complete with a dumbwaiter.

Utterly bespoke. Undeniably exceptional. Unley Park.
