When we decided to build our dream, forever home, there was only one builder on our list, Chris Diamantis of Genworth Homes. There is no one else in Adelaide with a truer understanding of classical homes and the attention to detail required to produce homes whose designs stand the test of time and have the authenticity that one looks for in a classic home. For Chris, building homes is clearly not just a business, it is a personal passion and a calling and that was clear to us from our first meeting with him all the way through to completion.

Chris has great vision and creativity and was able to make suggestions that we couldn’t have thought of and include details in our home that we didn’t even know we needed. With Genworth Homes there is no such thing as a basic standard. Each Genworth Home has a level of detailing unseen in most homes and this has been commented on by many people who have visited our home. If something was not perfect, Genworth would redo it without us even needing to ask (or even having noticed it was needed in the first place!). If something our house needed didn’t exist yet, Chris would design it and have it made. Chris and the team at Genworth were very accommodating of all our demands and made sure our every need was met.

Everyone has heard the horror stories from people who have gone through the building process and most people swear they would never build again. Nothing could be further from the truth when building with Genworth Homes. With Genworth Homes our vision was respected and honoured, we were listened to throughout the build and encouraged to be involved at every stage through progress meetings and regular site visits. Our dedicated Site Manager, was friendly, efficient, well respected by all the trades and was always available to answer any question we had and to reassure us that “it will all be perfect”, and so it was!

Many people we know who have built a new home say they never want to see or speak to their builder again, but at Genworth Homes you become part of the family. We consider Chris and Mary Diamantis to be dear friends now and we will forever be grateful to them for producing such a beautiful, dream home for us that we feel blessed every day to live in.

We made the decision to downsize from a very substantial property with teenage children in tow so it was very important that we not feel we were living in each other’s pockets. Chris and his team are meticulous with proportions and this aspect is certainly well featured in every room of our home. They worked brilliantly in ensuring each living space and bedroom was spacious and avoided the trap of over capitalising on the master bedroom at the expense of remaining bedrooms. "We have been living in our Genworth built house for 7 years now.

The collaboration with Genworth was truly conception to completion. From sourcing the block to the initial design, tweaked (never an issue) until it was exactly what we wanted, through to completion and handover, the process was trouble free.

All the Genworth staff and contractors were excellent to deal with and nothing was ever too much trouble. Genworth were also wonderful to brainstorm interior design thoughts and ideas with.

We set Genworth quite a task with nine months (including a Christmas break) allocated for completion. They made the deadline.
